About the Course:

Experience the wisdom of the ancient seers (rishis) and learn to integrate spiritual perspective and psychology in daily life.  For astrology professionals and students, Yoga teachers and students, and those with a need for sound advice for themselves.  A counselor helps people to understand, accept, manage and transcend their karmas and ultimately move them toward the main goal of life – Self Realization.  This course combines classical Yoga philosophy and Vedantic techniques with the knowledge of Vedic astrology.  Such integrated knowledge will help you “navigate through the doors of heaven.”

This is a unique course offered in a traditional Vedic ashram and charged with shakti, grace and spiritual insights!  The ashram is a beautiful and peaceful setting, truly the Vrindavan of the West!

Tuition Cost

$450 if paid in full before May 10;  $525 if paid after May 10.  Course fees include the book Essentials for Yogic Practice and Philosophy.  (10% discount for TTC Graduates, CCA graduates or ACVA Level 1 graduates.)  Accommodation costs are separate.

Accommodation

Includes yoga classes, two vegetarian meals/day, and lodging per night as follows:  dorm, $65,  double cabin, $85,  tent, $50.

Schedule

Daily schedule includes yoga class (4-6 pm), twice daily meditation and kirtan (6-7am and 8-8:30pm), and two vegetarian meals (10am and 6pm), in addition to classes, lectures and workshops given by the teachers of the course.

7-8am  Satsang - Evolution of consciousness from karma to transcending the mind - Krishna

12pm - 2pm -  Planetary yoga’s dashas and transits – Krishna (day off of ATTC)

Day 5, June 9

7-8am  How to work out karma and Karma Yoga/Selflessness and charity as remedial – Swami Sitaramananda

8-10am  Hatha Yoga as remedial – Kailas

12pm-2pm  Spiritual counseling -  applying Vedanta, Realizing the Self as Sat Chit Ananda and recognizing the journey of awakening – Swami Sitaramananda

4-6pm  Yoga Class

8-8:30pm  Meditation, Kirtan

8:30-9:30pm  Bhakti Yoga and devotion as remedial (pujas, prayers) – Swami Sitaramananda

 

Day 6, June 10

8-10am Spiritual dimensions of Jyotish – Komilla Sutton

12pm-2pm – The Philosophy of Jyotisha, How to use the Vedic philosophy and integrate in your Jyotisha consultation   Using Nakshatras and basic Panchanga elements for counseling  to  recognise the inner soul and help to integrate the  material and the spiritual lives -  Komilla Sutton

4-6pm Yoga Class

7-8am  Words of wisdom about the Navagraha from Vedic astrologer Komilla

12--2pm   Review about strategies for reading of Jyotish charts, how to counsel about the challenging aspects in the chart, dealing with difficult transits like Sade Sati and the eclipses  - Komilla

4-6pm     Yoga class

8pm       Meditation and Satsang with Komilla : Counselling skills for Yoga teachers and Vedic astrologers

About Swami Sitaramananda
Swami Sitaramananda is a Yoga and Meditation teacher for more than 25 years. She is presently the main teacher of the Yoga Teachers Training Courses offered at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm, Grass Valley, CA where she is serving as the director. She also teaches at other Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashrams & Centers in India and Nassau, Bahamas, Asia, as well as Centers along the West Coast USA, including her birth country, Vietnam. She is a direct disciple of Swami Vishnu-devananda. She was nominated by her teacher as Goraknath acharya (spiritual teacher, one of the holders of the lineage) in 1989. Her lectures are based on the four classical paths of yoga as well as the 5 points of Health.
About Krishna Darshan
About Krishna Darshan Krishna Darshan, who hails from Uruguay, is a direct disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda and has been a yoga and meditation teacher for more than 24 years in South America, Europe and USA. He has been the main Hatha Yoga instructor in numerous International Yoga Teachers Training Courses and has an in depth knowledge of the practice of Hatha and Raja Yoga and Vedanta philosophy. He is an able yogic sadhana counselor and he is Jyotish teacher and consultant, certified by the American College of Vedic Astrology (ACVA) and he has been teaching Vedic astrology courses at the Sivananda Ashrams and centers. In his long practice, study and teaching of Yoga and Vedanta philosophy, Krishna has come to recognize the value of Vedic astrology as a tool to give better counseling and guidance to those on the spiritual journey.
