Week Details

This yoga vacation offers fun and yoga for all the family, bringing family and yoga practice together. There will be special daily family activities (games, theatre, music, arts and crafts and outdoor activities) as well as kids\' classes and meditation.
The program allows some free time for adults, but parental supervision of the children is required. There are alternative children\'s activities while adults take yoga asana and pranayama class.
Family accomodation in four-bed cabins are available, however, space is limited. If you would like to be nearer to nature, bring a tent!

Daily Schedule:

5:30am wake-up
6am satsang
8am asana class
10am brunch
11am karma yoga
1-2pm family activities
3-6pm Practical Cooking workshop
6pm dinner
8pm Satsang

Arrival and Departure

The course will begin at 7pm on Monday, July 12th with orientation, and will end at 3pm on Sunday, July 18th.

What to Bring

Slip-on shoes, loose comfortable clothing, writing materials, meditation shawl or blanket, yoga mat, flashlight.

Books and materials are available in our boutique.

To reserve a place for this course, please register online or email yogafarmregistration@sivananda.org. Then please call to give us your credit card deposit and confirm your reservation.

A deposit paying for your first night\'s stay is required for your reservation. Please note that in case of cancellation, no refund will be given. A credit note for other programs at the Yoga Farm (valid for one year) will be given.

About Vidya Chaitanya
Vidya Chaitanya is a radiant Yogini renunciate who has more than 20 years of experience in Yoga and meditation. She is the current director of the Sivananda Los Angeles Yoga Center and was assistant director at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm for many years. She had a medical background in England and hails from Australia originally. She earned her Certificate in Permaculture Design and Advanced Permaculture from Mid West Permaculture and is now passionate about bringing Yoga and the Environment together at this exciting time of Transition. Her practical lectures are about Yoga philosophy, Vedanta and how to deal with emotions and mind in times of transition.
