" When you practice Yoga asanas, you make the connection, you focus in what you are doing, you make your conscious connection with what you are doing and the big thing happening is . . . you become conscious of your own Self."
- Swami Sitaramananda, director
The Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm was founded in 1971 by Swami Vishnu-Devananda, as a place for people to come on yoga retreats. The serene atmosphere of the Sierra Nevada Foothills provides the perfect setting for us to take a break from our busy lives and establish an inner connection through Yoga postures, breathing, relaxation teachniques, daily group meditation practice, inspiring lectures and wholesome, delicious, organic, vegetarian food.
The Ashram is open year-round for you to come on a yoga vacation, for a weekend, special occasion, or just to relax.
In 2011, we will celebrate our 40 year anniversary.
We will offer a variety of programs, on Yoga, Vedanta, Health and healing, and many others.
We welcome you to come to the Sivananda Family for a day, a week or a month to experience the oneness and unity of community Yoga life!
Om Shanti (peace)
